  • *2D Imaging- As the most common form of ultrasound, a 2D ultrasound creates a black and white image.

*3D Imaging- A surface image of the baby resembling a real picture.

*4D Imaging- Takes a 3D image and creates a live motion video.

*5D/HD LIVE Imaging- Uses advanced software to apply sophisticated lighting and shading to 3D/4D images.

  • An elective ultrasound is for bonding and entertainment only and does not replace the diagnostic medical care provided by your physician. You must be under the active care of a healthcare provider who has already performed initial screenings, as these elective sessions are not covered by insurance and will not include medical assessments.

  • Ultrasound technology is considered safe for both mother and baby because it uses high-frequency sound waves rather than ionizing radiation to create images. To ensure the highest level of safety, certified technicians follow AIUM guidelines and the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable), which minimizes energy exposure while maintaining high-quality imaging for your bonding experience.

  • We will be accepting insurance in the upcoming months. We accept HSA/FSA at this time.

  • Yes, BAU offers a range of diagnostic services, including anatomy scans, biophysical profiles, first trimester/viability scans, growth scans, cervical lengths, and more.

  • At least 6 weeks. We recommend that the best time to view your baby in 3D/4D is between 28 and 32 weeks, Scans done before 25 weeks can provide for fun video recordings. We will provide ultrasounds from 7 weeks to up to 39 weeks gestation (given you are being followed by a provider). Beyond 34 weeks, a baby may be too big. Imaging may or may not be successful and will largely be dependent on baby position and amniotic fluid. Twins are best between 24-27 weeks and will not be performed later than the 27th week.

  • To ensure the best experience during your appointment, we kindly recommend that you stay hydrated by drinking a gallon of water a daily and have a light snack prior to your visit.

  • With the Sneak Peak blood test we can determine sex of baby by 8 weeks. With ultrasound, we can see gender at or after 15 weeks gestation. However, we recommend after 17 weeks. If we can't determine a gender we will provide you with another "sneak peek" appointment at no charge. The "sneak peek" appointment will be a 5-minute ultrasound with one black and white 2D image to check for gender.

  • While we cannot guarantee perfect images, we assure you that our dedicated team will make every effort to obtain the best possible images during the session. Your satisfaction and the quality of the experience are our top priorities.

In most cases, we recommend standing up and moving around may also be necessary to stimulate the baby's activity. Occasionally, we may have the mom roll on her side or engage in gentle movements to encourage the baby to move during the ultrasound session. By following the hydration guidelines mentioned earlier, drinking something cold and a light snack prior to your appointment, we can create an environment that enhances the chances of capturing great pictures. However, it's important to note that every baby is unique and may have their preferred positions that are not always ideal for imaging purposes

  • While we cannot guarantee perfect results, our team will use techniques like repositioning and movement to capture the best possible images of your baby. You can help enhance image quality by staying well-hydrated and consuming a cold drink and a light snack just before your appointment to encourage baby activity.

  • Children and family are welcome to join your session, provided that an additional adult is present to supervise children at all times for their safety. Our exam room comfortably accommodates up to four guests, and you will receive all your keepsakes the same day as your appointment.

  • 8K image technology provides a higher quality image due to its enhanced resolution capabilities, which is about four times higher than 3D/4D ultrasound images, giving you the clearest image of your baby’s features. With this post processing enhancement, you can see true details with unbelievable resolution! The turn around time for receiving your 8k image is 5-7 days.

Would you like to add an 8K enhancement to your 3D/4D ultrasound session for a more realistic keepsake?

  • We accept all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express), as well as Cash, Zelle, and Cash App. For your convenience, we also accept HSA/FSA payments, though please note that full payment is required prior to your session and personal checks are not accepted.
